Unfair Dismissal

A claim for unfair dismissal must be made to the Employment Tribunal within three months of your effective date of termination.  The Employment Tribunal has three remedies it can use in unfair dismissal claims.  It can order that the employee is reinstated or re-engaged in their old job.  It can also give compensation.  The principle on compensation is to put the employee back in the position they would have been in had he or she not been unfairly dismissed
